Patience is the key to Fans of the Boston College men’s Basketball Team

Boston College mens basketball team not exactly off to a great start. Quite the opposite, really-they are 1-2. However, as Dave Shook writes, fans have to practice patience with a group of young people, and the results should come.

23 November 2011-not the best for the season beginning in the history of the Boston College basketball. In fact, it is very likely that this has been one of the worst. After a heretofore unthinkable 22-point loss to Holy Cross, the Eagles followed up that on Monday night with a loss to UMass even ugly. Led by Chaz Williams, was held to only one the Minutemen BC field goal over the final 11 minutes a game on their way to win 82-57.

For many, it's inexcusable loss to UMass, not so much because of the loss itself, but the fact that they were beaten so thoroughly at home. Quietly, some people began to whisper that it might be the new head coach Steve Donahue is not a person for the job at Boston College.

I'm here to do something that would not normally do. I'm here to preach patience.

There's a good chance that the team may not have hit rock bottom yet. In fact, there is a real chance that things could get far worse after the team began playing top level competitions (beginning Thanksgiving Day in ' 76 Classic '). With a conference game against elite teams such as the No. 1 North Carolina, no. 6 Duke and no. 20 Florida St. is still on schedule along with the rest of the game, maybe the team their ACC is unlikely to win 10 games this year.
