Premier Brad Wall the latest campaign promise will probably appeal to those too young to vote Nov. 7.
Wall says if his party of Saskatchewan was re-elected, it will change the beginning of the school year until after Labor Day for kindergarten to Grade 12 students.
He said the early school quickly messes up the long weekend of summer campers or family vacation.
The Prime Minister also said a recent study by Tourism Saskatchewan found that 60 percent of tourism-related businesses say their businesses suffer when students start school before labor day.
The School Board will still have the option to bring teachers back before labor day to prepare for class and have a professional development day.
